13 kms outside Manali is the Solang Valley, offering spectacular views of the snow-clad mountains and the glaciers all around. Solang is the venue for adventurous activities like skiing, paragliding, walking and zorbing. It is one of the finer modern ski resorts in India and skiing courses are offered here for basic, intermediate and advanced skiers between January and March. The Directorate of Mountaineering & Allied Sports and many private companies offer accommodation and equipment on rent for adventure activities. Also take some time off from the adrenaline thumping activities and visit the Shiva Temple at Solang.

Buses are available from Manali (one hour).to Solang Valley. You can also hire a taxi.
