Marble Rocks at Bhedaghat, Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh rise to a hundred feet on either side of the Narmada River. The sunlight sparkling on the marble-white rocks casts dappled shadows on the pellucid waters. These white rocks with views of black and dark green volcanic seams are truly majestic. During full moon nights, these rocks seem ethereal and the water looks scintillating. The Marble Rocks are a gorge on the Narmada River in central India where the river narrows to a width of 10 meters and carves through a large area of white marble, creating a beautiful gorge of about 3 kms in length. The local marble is mined and carved into various figures and transported all over India.
