From Chennai, guests can take the overnight train to Mettupalayam, and then enjoy a 3-hour drive to Ooty or take the delightful 5-hour toy train ride that passes through 9 tunnels and crosses 26 bridges and passes through dense forests. Ooty is a pleasant 7-hour drive from Bangalore. Taj Garden Retreat Coonoor, another idyllic retreat, is just an hour's drive.
